Greenwood Football Coach Named National Coach of the Year

Rick Jones has been named the 2012 National Federation of State High School Associations Football Coach of the Year.

 

The prestigious award is given to one coach through out the country in 10 different sports.

 

'It's a great honor,' says Jones, 'It's an award based upon the fact that we have all worked together, the coaches and the administration. So I see it as a group award.'

 

In the past 9 seasons that Coach Jones has been at Greenwood he has brought home 6 State Championships and is on 38- game winning streak since 2010.
