Elvis fans line up to celebrate The King's birthday and the video of a frightening escalator ride goes viral. Here is Tuesday's edition of "The Pulse".

Taylor Swift Breakup
Brace yourselves, there may be another Taylor Swift breakup song coming on. The young country star has reportedly broken it off with "One Direction" singer Harry Styles while they were vacationing in the Virgin Islands. Swift is becoming popular for her many break-ups with various hollywood celebs.

Elvis' Birthday
Tuesday, fans of the late Elvis Presley honor what would have been the music icon's 78th birthday. The celebration kicking off over the weekend with fans gathering at Graceland in Memphis where they unveiled a new "Elvis' Hawaii" exhibit, showcasing all of Elvis' trips to the popular vacation spot.

Katherine Webb
America has a new celebrity after the BCS bowl game Monday night, girlfriend of Alabama quarterback AJ Mccarron, and Miss Alabama, Katherine Webb. Webb became an instant star after a discussion of her broke out between broadcasters during the game, who all commented on how beautiful the the girl is. Of course, social media began buzzing about the 23-year-old, who says her twitter followers went from a couple thousand to 96,000 by the end of the night.

New Jersey
An escalator at a New Jersey commuter train station abruptly reversed direction, sending people into a panic. The New York times reports commuters were riding the escalator *up* at the Jersey city path station when suddenly they were going *down*. The malfunction sent a stampede of people down the moving staircase. Five people suffered cuts, scrapes and bruises in the confusion.

Holmes in Court
It was another day of dramatic testimony, day two in the preliminary hearing against Colorado movie shooting suspect James Holmes. Detectives played two of the 41 911 calls that they received on that night, most of them received from inside the movie theater. Family members in the courtroom were holding hands, fighting back tears, and trying to comfort one another. Prosecutors are expected to call dozens of witness as they lay out their case against Holmes in hopes of convincing the judge they have enough evidence to proceed to a trial.
