Thursday's "Edge List": Worst movies of 2012 according to the Razzie Awards:
Number 10 - "The Guilt Trip"
Barbara Streisand is a Razzie nominee for worst actress for this film, which also stars Seth Rogan. The film surrounds an inventor who is about to embark on the roadtrip of a lifetime and a quick stop at his moms house turns into an unexpected cross-country voyage with her along for the ride.
Number 9 - "Resident Evil: Retribution"
Milla Jovovich is nominated for worst actress for this film, which is the fifth movie in the franchise. In this one, main character, "Alice", fights alongside a resistance movement in the continuing battle against The Umbrella Corporation and the undead.
Number 8 -- "One for the Money"
Katherine Heigl is nominated for worst actress in this film, which revolves around an unemployed and newly divorced Katherine Heigl lands a job at her cousin's bail-bond business, where her first assignment puts her on the trail of a wanted local cop from her romantic past.
Number 7 - "What to Expect when you're Expecting"
Both Brooklyn Decker and Jennifer Lopez are nominated for worst supporting actress in this film, which follows five couples experiences the thrills and surprises of having a baby.
Number 6 - "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance"
The great Nicolas Cage is nominated for worst actor for this film which is also nominated for worst remake, rip-off or sequel. In this sequel, Nick Cage is back as "Johnny Blaze" who is hiding out in Europe when he is called upon to stop the devil, who is trying to take human form.
Number 5 - "Battleship"
This one is nominated for worst picture, worst director, worst screen ensemble, worst screenplay, Rihanna is nominated for worst supporting actress and Liam Neeson is nominated for worst supporting actor. In this one a fleet of ships is forced to do battle with an armada of unknown origins in order to discover and thwart their destructive goals.
Number 4 -- "That's My Boy"
This one is nominated for worst director, Adam Sandler for worst actor, Nick Swardson for worst supporting actor, worst screen ensemble, worst screen play, worst screen couple and of course worst picture."That's My Boy" features adam sandler who fathered a son when he was a teenager and raised him as a single parent until his 18th birthday. Now, after not seeing each other for years, Sandler resurfaces just before his son's wedding.
Number 3 -- "Snow White and the Huntsman"
Kristen Stewart is nominated for worst actress in this one, as well as Twilight, no surprise there, but instead of a vampire, in this one she plays Snow White, being hunted by the evil queen in this twist to the fairy tale.
Number 2 - "Madea's Witness Protection"
Tyler Perry racked up the Razzies with this one. He's nominated for worst director, worst actress, worst screen ensemble, worst remake rip-off or sequel and Tyler Perry and his drag were nominated for worst screen couple. This movie isn't even the only film Perry is nominated for in this years Razzies. He's also nominated for worst actor in "Alex Cross" and "Good Deeds".
Number 1 - "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2"
No surprise here, Twilight swept the Razzie nominations. Two nominations for worst screen couple, worst remake, rip-off or sequel, worst screenplay, worst screen ensemble, worst supporting actor, supporting actress, actor, actress, worst director and of course worst picture. That is literally every category, and we all know the plot, vampires and wearwolves and whatnot.
