One man is dead, another injured following a single-car accident on Wedington Drive in Fayetteville late Saturday night.

Police say three passengers were in the Chevrolet SUV when it rolled over, ejecting one of them.

The two injured passengers were transported to Washington Regional Medical Center, one of them pronounced dead shortly after arriving, according to police.

A witness at the scene says she saw the car heading eastbound, veer over and hit a curb in the westbound lane near The Links apartment complex, and then overcorrect causing the vehicle to flip multiple times.

Police have not released the names of any of the passengers. The investigation is still ongoing.
