This is Sunday night's edition of -- The Pulse.

Number five -- A cat in Florida traveled nearly 200 miles in two months to reunite with her owners. The 4-year-old cat Holly bolted after getting scared by fireworks. Her owners searched for their feline friend, but with no success. Then on Saturday, Holly was found within one mile of her home.

Number four -- The 70th Golden Globe Awards. Comediennes Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the ceremony presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Steven Spielberg's civil war saga "Lincoln" has the most nominations, with nods in seven categories.

Number three -- Good health news could be on the horizon for former President George H.W. Bush. After more than a month in a Houston hospital, Bush's spokesman said hospital workers are hopeful he can be discharged this week. The 41st president was admitted in late November for bronchitis, and stayed for treatment for a lingering cough and fever.

Number two -- An adoption ban protest in Russia. Russian opposition activists gathered in central Moscow Sunday for a march against the law banning the adoptions of Russian children by American families. Around 9,500 people took part in the protest, according to police and at least nine activists were arrested.

Number one -- The gun control debate, playing out in Washington. Vice President Joe Biden is set to present a list of recommendations to President Obama on Tuesday. In an effort to reduce gun violence, some believe the administration will seek to restrict assault weapons and high capacity magazines in some way.
