Wednesday's Edge List: 10 Most Memorable TV Dads of the 80's

Number Ten: Homer Simpson- The Simpsons
Starting with our only animated dad, Homer is a father of three who works at a nuclear power plant. Homer is often crude and lazy but is a fairly decent man devoted to his family.

Number Nine: Jack Arnold- Wonder Years
Played by Dan Lauria, Jack is the father of three kids and works in an electronics corporation but is not fond of his dad. Jack is often described as stern and almost scary with a background in The Marines.

Number Eight: Phillip Drummond- Diff'rent Strokes
Our list was inspired by Conrad Bain who passed away Wednesday. He played the father to two young boys who takes them under his wing after their mom passes away

Number Seven- Dr. Jason Seaver-Growing Pains
Played by Alan Thicke, Seaver is a psychiatrist who works from home and takes care of the three, four in the later seasons, children.

Number Six- Dan Conner- Roseanne
John Goodman takes on this role as Roseanne's husband and father of four many people say Dan and Roseannes relationship was realistic and that Dan acted more like one of the children than the father.

Number Five- Al Bundy- Married With Children
Played by Ed O'Neile, this dad is a simple man who is ever regretful of the turns his life has taken since leaving high school. He's got two children and a wife he only proposed to because he was drunk. Bundy is a shoe salesman and not exactly happy with his job.

Number Four- Howard Cunningham- Happy Days
Howard is played by Tom Bosley, the character is a business owner and family man with two kids. He's frequently seen in his easy chair reading the daily paper.

Number Three- Steven Keaton- Family Ties
Played by Michael Gross, this 80's dad is known for being a bit of a hippy. It's been said that "Family Ties" was Ronald Reagans favorite show.

Number Two- Danny Tanner- Full House
Bob Saget plays a TV anchor who is left with three young daughters after his wife dies in a car accident, his character is known for his cleanliness and love for his children.

Number One- Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable- The Cosby Show
Played by Bill Cosby, this father to the five Huxtable kids is known for his extensive sweater collection and awesome quotes.
