Number 10: Kim Kardashian
The Kardashians are a reality-show empire with Kim in the forefront. The socialite gained notoriety after a sex tape leaked, but her fame never waned. She starts out our list with more than 17 million followers on Twitter.
Number 9: Shakira
Shakira is a popular pop star from Colombia, she's also known for her seductive dance moves. She makes the number nine spot on our list with more than 19 million followers
Number 8: YouTube
The only non-human on the list, YouTube is a video-sharing website created in 2005 where users can upload, view and share videos. The site has more than 22 million followers.
Number 7: Taylor Swift
The young musician, known for her famous break-up songs, began her singing career at the young age of fourteen. Now she's a pop icon with more than 23 million Twitter followers.
Number 6: Britney Spears
Pop diva Britney Spears has been in and out of the spotlight for years, but she's never fallen out of the Twitter spotlight. Her much publicized personal life has helped her out, now she's got more than 23 million followers.
Number 5: Barack Obama
As president of the United States, you would think he would have the most followers on Twitter, but alas, Mr. President is only in our 5 spot with a little over 26 million followers.
Number 4: Rihanna
The sensual singer may have a rocky relationship with boyfriend Chris Brown, but her relationship with her Twitter followers is solid. She's in our number 4 spot with more than 27 million followers.
Number 3: Katy Perry
Katy Perry has dozens of hits and is often known for her risqu outfits. Maybe thats why everyone on Twitter loves her, she's got more than 31 million followers.
Number 2: Lady Gaga
Nearly every song Lady Gaga releases becomes a hit, shes known for her crazy costumes and concerts. She's also a hit on Twitter with more than 33 million followers.
Number 1: Justin Bieber
Apparently, the whole Twitter-verse has Bieber-fever. The young heart-throb musician recently beat out Lady Gaga for the most followers and he now holds the crown as the king of Twitter with over 33 million followers.
