A Springdale man is behind bars after police say he stole 5,000 dollars worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart.

Kevin Hull, 39 worked in the Claims Department at Walmart on Mall Avenue in Fayetteville.

The police report states the store received complaints that Hull was taking electronic devices being returned and pawning them for cash or giving them to friends and family.

After an internal investigation, Hull admitted to police he had stolen the items over 6 months for financial reasons but knew he was doing wrong.

He's now in Washington county jail in lieu of a 2,500 dollar bond.
