Number 8: Superbad
The most modern movie on our list revolves around two friends navigating the last weeks of high school. Usually shunned by the popular kids, the two luck into an invitation to a party and spend a long day trying to score enough alcohol to look cool and inebriate two girls so they can kick off their sex lives and go off to college with a summer full of experiences. IMDB gave this one a 7.7.

Number 7: Peggy Sue Got Married

Number 6: Grease
This musical about teens in love in the 50's explores what it means to be in a clique in high school. John Travolta and Olivia Newton John are in love until they realize they are both very different people than they appeared to be. They put their differences aside and try to be like each other so they can be together. IMDB gave this hit a 7.1.

Number 5: Back to the Future
Michael J. Fox plays Marty Mcfly, a typical teenager in the 80's who is accidentally sent back to 1955 in a plutonium-powered DeLorean "time machine" invented by a slightly mad scientist. On his travels, Marty must make sure his parents-to-be meet and fall in love so he can make it back to the future. "Great scott!" IMDB gave this one a 7.1.

Number 4: Sixteen Candles
This classic Molly Ringwald flick revolves around her sixteenth birthday, which nearly all of her family forgets. Pair this with her sisters wedding, horribly embarassing grandparents and a foreign exchange student named Long Duc Dong, and you'll get a hilarious journey into young womanhood. IMDB gives this John Hughes classic a 7.1.

Number 3: Rebel without a Cause
This one is famous for starring James Dean, he plays the new kid in town who is known to be a troublemaker. At his new school he finds love but he still must prove himself to his classmates through knife fights and games of "chickie" where cars race at full speed towards a cliff. IMDB gives this classic a 7.9.

Number 2: Dazed and Confused
In this film, it's the last day of school at a high school in 1976  and the upperclassman are hazing the incoming freshman. Everyone's trying to get stoned, drunk, or laid, which apparently sums up high school in the 70's. IMDB gave this one a7.6.

Number 1: The Breakfast Club.
The movie revolves around five students with nothing in common, from five totally different cliques, that are forced to spend a whole saturday together in detention. In the beginning they have nothing to say, but by the end of the day they had bared their souls to each other and became good friends. IMDB gives this movie a 7.9.
