A group of five accused home invaders face felony charges, in connection with a botched burglary.
Police arrested three men and two women.
According to investigators, the two women showed up at a home on Pine Crest Avenue, asking to use the phone because their car broke down.
While the women were on the phone, police say two masked men knocked on the door and tried to force their way into the house with a gun.
The homeowner was able to shut the door and call 9-1-1 and the masked men took off.
Police say the two women, plus a getaway driver, were in on the crime.
According to cops, the group wanted to steal drugs and money from the house.
