Disc Golfers Host Tournament for Mother Battling Cancer

Disc golfers are raising money for one of their own, recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
The Battle for Beverly Charity Disc Golf Tournament, happening today at the twin creeks disc golf course in rogers. 
The event raised money for Beverly Lackey, the mother of a local, avid disc golfer bobby lackey. 
"We actually pride ourselves on the culture surrounding disc golf and how we all come together as a family. Whenever you're on a disc golf course,  you never meet a stranger, you know, everyone is friendly, everyone wants to reach out and help everyone else," says J.P. Mitchell, the Tournament Director.
Beverly was recently diagnosed with cancer and this event offered people to come together in support of her, with all entry fee's being donated to help with her treatment.
