Top Trenders: Casey Anthony Files for Bankruptcy

These are your Top Trenders for Monday, January 28th.

Number 5: The country marks a sad anniversary.

Twenty-seven years ago today, the space shuttle Challenger exploded 73 seconds after lift-off.

All seven crew members were killed.

The explosion was traced to the cold weather, which froze an o-ring in the shuttle's right solid rocket booster, causing it to malfunction, setting off the chain of events that led to the tragedy.

Number 4: Another plane crash on the Hudson River.

A man and a woman are hospitalized this morning after the small plane they were flying crashed into the Hudson off Yonkers.

The two ended up floating in the icy water and were rescued about 30 minutes later.

They were listed in stable condition.

No word yet on what brought the plane down.

Number 3: Casey Anthony, the Florida mom who was acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, has filed for bankruptcy.

Central Florida News 13 reports that Anthony filed for bankruptcy on the same day an appeals court tossed out two convictions against her.

That court upheld two other convictions.

Anthony's estimated liabilities are between $500,000 and a $1 million, with the majority of that stemming from legal fees.

Number 2: Actors of the big and small screens honored each other at last night's Screen Actors Guild awards.

The award for outstanding cast went to Argo, directed by Ben Affleck.

Tommy Lee Jones and Daniel Day-Lewis won for Lincoln.

On the television side, the cast of Downton Abbey won its first SAG award.

Claire Danes was recognized for Homeland, and Bryan Cranston won for Breaking Bad.

Number 1: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said she isn't planning to run in the 2016 presidential election, but that isn't stopping supporters from hoping she does and voicing those opinions.

Senator Dianne Feinstein of California says she's firmly in that camp.

Political observers have said the democratic field would be instantly cleared should Clinton decide to run.

The former first lady and New York senator would return as a more experienced politician than the one who lost to Obama in 2008.

Her approval rating late last year was as high as 75-percent, according to one poll.
