The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the The United Food & Commercial Workers  Union (UFCW) have reached a settlement that will bring the union's picketing of Walmart to an end, the retail giant announced today.

Back in November, Walmart filed an unfair labor practice charge with the board against the UFCW to stop what Walmart described as unlawful tactics and disruptions towards their associates and customers.

Walmart was referring to Black Friday strikes organized by a group of Walmart Employees calling themselves "OUR Walmart." Walmart says many of the group's pickets were illegal.

In a letter to the NLRB, the UFCW says it has no intent on "forcing or requiring Walmart to recognize or bargain with the UFCW or OUR Walmart as the representative of its employees."

As a part of the agreement, the UFCW and OUR Walmart much stop all unlawful picketing, stop disruptions by almost 30 other affiliated groups and stop all picketing and confrontational conduct at Walmart stores and other facilities for at least 60 days.

The company says the unfair labor practice charge will remain for several months in order to hold the UFCW accountable and discourage them from violating the new agreement.
