Fincher Family Reaction

By:
Updated: April 17, 2007
After the jury found 60-year-old Fincher guilty on both counts, many of those who know him clung to each other and cried, consoling each other as Fincher waved goodbye to them and was lead out of the courtroom. Close family friend Paul Davis spoke on behalf of the family. "What do they feel, you can imagine what they feel, they don`t feel like he got a fair trial," Davis said. Davis says the two counts the jury had to decide-- possessing a machine gun and possessing a sawed off shotgun-- left them with no choice but to find him guilty. "He never denied having them, that wasn`t the issue, the issue is the right to have them and Wayne believes he has the right to have them."
