Guns on campus? The "Student Government Association" at the University of Arkansas discussing 3 different firearm resolutions Tuesday night. We first told you about the school's "Self Defense Bill" last week. It would allow anyone with a concealed handgun license the right to legally carry their weapons on campus. Tuesday night the student government once again looked at three options. One would mean no "concealed carry" on campus. Another, advocating for "concealed carry" only for faculty and staff. And the third would allow "concealed carry" for faculty...Staff and students. Chairman of The Arkansas Student Government Senate, Mike Norton says, " We have two pieces of legislation. A bill which just deals internally with us and then a resolution. The resolution is not binding. It is instead the voice of the students. And we then take that resolution and send it to administration, send it to parties on campus, and of course send it to the state legislature when dealing with these matters" The group will vote on the resolution February 12th.
