Ten people are behind bars, facing multiple felony drug charges.
According to Benton County Sheriff Kelly Cradduck, his Special Operations Division conducted a home visit in rural Rogers after getting tips of possible drug sales and illegal activity at a house. Detectives conducted a search and seized 165 grams of crystal meth, 49 pharmaceutical pills, 21 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia totaling around $18,000.
Investigators also recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, flat screen tv and cameras used for surveillance, two vehicles, and almost $11,000 in cash.
"I don't think that we should sugar coat it and say this is going to stop all the drug activity, but this is a dent. It's a step in the right direction," said Sheriff Cradduck.
Officials arrested Donald Thompson, Michael Hill, Dale Shaffer, Jeffery Stout, Melizza Christiansen, Shawn Ewert, Candius Taylor, Sarah Rustin, William Wallace and Robert Grady.
The Special Operations Division, Narcotics Unit, Gang Unit, Street Crimes Unit, and DWI Enforcement Unit all worked together on this case.
Cradduck also said in just the month on January the Special Operations Division has conducted five search warrants, made more than 70 arrests, recovered multiple guns, and conducted several drug investigations that resulted in large amounts of various illegal drugs being taken off the streets.
The investigation is ongoing, and Cradduch said there may be additional arrests.
