National Signing Day started with a victory for the Razorbacks when Denver Kirkland announced on national television he would attend Arkansas.  The highly touted offensive lineman is one of the top rated signees in this year's recruiting class.

"Big.  Big," Arkansas offensive coordinator Jim Chaney said.  "A kid that can play competitive football and win in this league on the offensive line, those are hard.  My history in this conference, it's difficult to find kids that you think might play tackle."

The Razorback coaches signed players from coast to coast and beyond in this class getting as far as Hawaii and even Australia.  But the foundation of the group  is in Arkansas with eight natural state natives.

"It's where we're going to start with everything, in state," defensive line coach Charlie Partridge said.  "The thing that jumps out to someone who's coming in here for the first time is the love of people from Arkansas for the Razorbacks.  It's overwhelming quite honestly.  It'll take your breath away."

The Hog coaches now get a chance to catch their collective breath after a wild few weeks of recruiting, but Spring football begins next month.
