Fort Smith Police Respond to School Shooting Rumor

A rumor about a school shooting started and quickly spread at Northside High School Thursday.

Fort Smith police say the rumor originated from a student's attempt to write a rap song.  The note was found on a cafeteria table reading, "I got a gun named kindness, and one of these days im going to kill you with kindness."

The rumor quickly went viral across social media sites Twitter and Facebook, and caused concerned parents to contact the school.

The Fort smith Police department says they would like to enusure the public there is no imminent danger and that there will be increased police at the school
