Governor Mike Beebe has signed into law a bill banning health exchange policies from offering abortion coverage.

House Bill 1100 was signed into law at the State Capitol Monday afternoon.

The bill was approved by Arkansas lawmakers last week.

It includes exemptions for if the mother's life is in danger, and also for rape or incest.
