Breaking news out of North Korea...
North Korea says they have conducted a third underground nuclear bomb test.
The U-S Geological Survey is reporting a seismic disturbance centered near the site of the secretive regime's two previous nuclear tests.
The area around the reported epicenter of the magnitude four-point-nine (4.9) disturbance has little or no history of earthquakes.
North Korea announced last month that it planned a new nuclear test and more long-range rocket launches---
All of which it said were part of a new phase of confrontation with the United States.
Officials in Washington are working to confirm it was a nuclear test.
