An Ozark Guidance employee was arrested Wednesday morning on child porn charges.

Fayetteville Police say they were informed by United States Postal Inspectors about a case they were working in which several DVD's containing child pornography had been sent to a home in Fayetteville.

The nationwide investigation involved a Canadian company that was shipping child pornography through a facility in New York to people in the United States.

An examination of the company's customer database revealed 50-year-old Brad McMullin had ordered and received pornographic images of children from the company.

The company's records showed McMullin made a total of seven DVD purchases between December 2009 and April 2011.

The U.S. Postal Service assisted in making several deliveries from the company to a previous address of McMullin's on Country Way in Fayetteville.

In January this year, McMullin moved to a home on E. Margaret Place.

At the request of a Postal Inspector, police executed a search warrant at the Margaret Place location and found a video playing that depicted sexually explicit conduct involving children.
During an interview with investigators, McMullin admitted to ordering DVD's containing images of nude children from the company but he claimed he didn't realize they were illegal.

A further search of McMillan's home yielded numerous other DVD's.

The investigation is on-going.

Court Documents list Ozark Guidance as McMullin's place of employment. It is a non-profit mental health center in Fayetteville.

A representative with the Ozark Guidance Foundation released the following statement in response to McMullin's arrest:

"It is with great regret that we were  informed earlier today that Brad McMullin, a Program Nurse, was arrested at his home on charges of receiving child pornography through the  U.S. Mail.  Mr. McMullin has been suspended immediately from employment at Ozark Guidance as a result of the charges.  We will fully cooperate with local authorities in the criminal process  and we want to assure everyone that Ozark Guidance takes every possible precaution  to ensure that all of our clients are served in a safe caring environment.    As of this time, there is no evidence that the charges against Mr. McMullin in any way involve his employment at Ozark Guidance."

Update:  McMullin was a volunteer at Sequoyah United Methodist Church, and the church released the following statement late this evening:

"It was with deep sadness, regret and concern that Sequoyah United Methodist Church learned today that Brad McMullin was arrested on charges of Receiving Child Pornography through the U.S. Mail. Mr. McMullin was a volunteer in SUMC's children's ministry, and the church has suspended him from that role pending the resolution of these charges. Nothing is more important to our church family than the safety of the children in our care, and we have taken every measure to ensure that young people may worship and fellowship in a secure environment. We ensured that Mr. McMullin was vetted through the United Methodist Church's Safe Sanctuary program, which requires, among other things, that all adults in contact with children on our premises have background checks and are not left alone with children. At this time, we are aware of no misconduct of any kind involving Mr. McMullin in connection with SUMC activities. Sequoyah United Methodist pledges its full support and cooperation to authorities investigating this matter, and our prayers go out to all victims of exploitation wherever they may be."
