Wednesday's Edge List: 6 Things Not to Buy in February

Number Six -- Patio Furniture
If you're looking towards spring and thinking of sprucing up your patio, you probably won't find any bargains this month. Grills and patio furniture are just now hitting the stores, so you're going to pay full price. You can expect better deals near Memorial Day, but what is on sale this month, skiing and snowboarding equipment. since the winter sports season is ending.

Number Five -- Luggage
For the most part, luggage will be at full price this month, with the exception of the random deal around President's Day. You can expect better deals closer to the fall. What is on sale right now, bedding and furniture, especially mattresses and pillows.

Number Four -- Jewelry
February jewelry sales are a mixed bag, you'll see some deals before Valentine's Day, but not everything's on sale. You can expect better deals on jewelry around August and September when there will be more discounts. What is on sale, Valentine's Day candy, especially starting Friday, all the Valentines candy at the stores will hit the sale isles.

Number Three -- Digital Cameras
Even though makers unveil new models, you won't find deals on them this month. You can expect better deals in May and June with discounts of 20 or 30 percent. What is on sale, last year's models of cellphones and tablets.
 
Number Two -- Summer Clothes
Unless you're shopping secondhand, you won't find any bargains on new pieces for you warm-weather wardrobe. You can expect better deals the second half of June when you can find discounts50 to 75% off summer clothes. What is on sale, winter clothes, you can score pretty good deals on winter clothes while it's still cold outside.

Number One -- Travel
People often want to travel for Valentine's Day, but you won't find many deals on travel packages this month. You can find better deals in April when you can save up to f40% on packages, even international trips.
