Fayetteville High School is proud to host the 2013 7A State Basketball Tournament this week at the school's new Bulldog Arena!

Students at FHS are getting out of school early each day due to the tournament. School will dismiss at 2:00 on Wednesday and Thursday, and at 3:00 on Friday.

Students also have the option to purchase tickets to the tournament, getting them excused from classes for the day at 12:50.

The school anticipates large crowds for this event and parking at the high school is limited. The University of Arkansas has opened up some parking at Lot 56 and other surrounding areas..
  • The west parking lot at the corner of Garland and MLK Blvd. (directly in front of the arena) will be reserved parking by permit only throughout the state tournament. General parking will be available in the east parking lot on MLK Blvd. (directly in front of the Performing Arts Center).
  • The University of Arkansas has agreed to allow free parking in Lot 56 (just west of the Razorback Soccer field on MLK Blvd.) during the tournament. The National Guard will be providing golf cart transportation for those attendees in need of special assistance.
  • Parking is also available in the student lots on Bulldog Blvd. (north of the FHS campus by Harmon Field).
  • Parking will not be allowed in unauthorized spaces, such as fire lanes, entrance lanes to parking lots, areas designated as no parking, or on the grass. Vehicles parked illegally will be ticketed and towed. Emergency vehicles must be able to access the parking lots.
Parking lot attendants will be stationed in the two front parking lots of the high school to provide directions and assistance.
