Rogers-- An early morning fire forced evacuations at the Aloft Hotel in Rogers Friday. It started just after 7:00 am on 1103 South 52nd Street. Rogers Fire Chief, Cliff Thompson, tells us that a dryer, filled with towels and clothes, caught fire, filling the halls with smoke. The entire hotel was evacuated as crews put out the flames and removed the smoke from the upper floors. Within 15 minutes, guests were able to return to their rooms. No one was hurt. The hotel has minor damage. Crews are now working to reset the alarm system.
