This is Saturday's edition of -- The Pulse.

Number five -- March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month. Colon cancer is one of the most common cancers diagnosed in the U.S. and it is also one of the most preventable. Factors like age, being overweight and smoking can put you at higher risk, but one of the most important risk factors is your family medical history. Be sure to check your family tree and make time for the doctor's office.

Number four -- Officials suspect the norovirus has hit passengers aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. 105 guests and three crew members reported gastrointestinal illnesses while the ship was at sea. Company officials said they are conducting intensive sanitizing on board the ship and ship terminal .

Number three -- The White House Visitor Center is canceling all tours due to forced budget cuts. An automated message at the visitor center's hotline is delivering the news. Reports state the cutback will help the agency save roughly $2 million a year.

Number two -- There is a new smoke stack on top of the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City. Workers scaled the roof of the famous chapel to install the crucial chimney which is used to send up smoke signals during the cardinals' conclave. After every vote, the cardinals burn the ballots. Black smoke means there has been no decision, but white smoke means a new pope has been elected.

Number one -- Daylight Saving Time!  Before you go to bed, turn the clocks ahead one hour. Remember, adults should be getting seven to eight hours of sleep a night so do not let Daylight Saving Time throw off your sleep schedule.
