"Meth use is not the only danger to Arkansans," Boozman, a member of the Congressional Caucus to Fight and Control Methamphetamine, said. "The labs which create this poison represent a danger to life and property from explosion while they are in use. Additionally, the labs create an environmental problem which we need to come to terms with.
In December, President Bush signed into law the Boozman Amendment to the Office of National Drug Control Policy Reauthorization Act. The amendment focuses on the impact of meth abuse on children and exposes teens to the real-world consequences of methamphetamine abuse.
