Arkansas Senator Receives Threats Of Violence

By:
Updated: April 17, 2007
Arkansas did away with mandatory helmet laws in 1997, but now one senator thinks it`s time to bring the law back. Senator Kim Hendren hopes the law will once again require helmets for motor cycle rider, but some residents don`t agree with his position and they`re voicing their concerns violently. An internet blog site recently showed posts from two authors saying that Hendren should "die and take his antiquated laws with him." Senator Hendren doesn`t believe the threat represents the feelings of most motor cycle enthusiasts or Arkansans and will continue to push for the law`s reinstatement.
