breaking news
The Stone Inn sits right off of Hwy 412 in Siloam Springs. Its where Rose Brown claims she was bitten by bed bugs all over her body.
Brown told us she was staying at the Stone Inn to have peace and quiet while she recuperated from surgery. But after 6 days Brown said her body started itching, and just a few days later, started seeing red pussy bumps.
She contacted her doctor, who initially thought it was a reaction to her antibiotics. But, the next night Brown said she woke up frantically itching and actually saw bugs all over her body and in the bed. Brown told us she caught a few and put them in a bag.
Brown said she went to the St.Francis clinic where they diagnosed her with bed bug bites.
We visited the Stone Inn Friday. The owner declined an on camera interview. But did take us to the room where brown was staying, although they wouldnt allow us to video tape it. The room was under complete renovation, but the owners denied it had anything to do with the accusations.
We contacted the Benton County Health Department. They visited the Stone Inn about a month after the incident. They told us there were no bed bug findings. They checked again on the first of March, and again found no bed bugs.
Brown is suing the Stone Inn. She told us she has some scars on her body, and has frequent nightmares with bugs crawling on her.
