Hogs Move on to SEC Championship

Updated: April 17, 2007
Hog fans packed into Buffalo Wild Wings in Fayetteville to watch their team take on Mississippi State. As the game got started, the general feeling was it would be a fairly-matched fight. "i think it will be a close game...but I think we`ll maybe pull ahead when they start fouling there at the end," said hog fan Michael Vann. But with a close score of 39-to-40 at half-time, some fans were concerned about the narrow point-difference. "It`s close, it`s close, a little worried about how they`re doing but I think they can pull it out in the end," said Steven Dalrymple. "They`ve played a hard game, there`s a little bit of bad blood between the two teams so you can see they`re really fired up about it," Scotti Williamson said. As the hog hoopsters pulled ahead in the second half, fans couldn`t contain their excitement. "I think it`s awesome...I`m looking forward to the SEC Championship where we`re going to take Florida to the mat! We`re getting ready to take them down!," said hog fan Jim Hancock. And while the hog`s date with Florida in the SEC Championship is certain...Fan`s opinions on coach Stan Heath are not. "Personally I like Stan Heath, I think he`s got a lot of heart, I think he keeps the players motivated, I like him," Williamson said. "I think this put him in the hunt to stick around for another season, my honest opinion is I don`t know that we need him next season," Hancock said. The hogs will face Florida Sunday at noon.
