Shooting Suspect Caught

cuffs2007-05-02-1178124547.jpgA man Bentonville police have been searching for for more than a week is now behing bars. Bentonville police say 19-year-old Tracy Allen Johnson shot his girlfriend, Becky Bishop of Rogers, on April 23rd during a domestic dispute. Police say the .22 caliber revolver Johnson shot Bishop with had been stolen from a Benton County home. On May 1st, Benton county Sheriff's Deputies were investigating two reports of stolen checks, when they obtained information about Johnson's possible whereabouts. Investigators found Johnson at the Super 8 Hotel in Rogers, where he was arrested after a brief foot chase. Johnson is in the Benton County Jail on felony charges of domestic battery in the first degree, theft by receiving of a firearm, as well as possession of a firearm by certain persons during the commission of another crime.
