(Pine Bluff, AR) -- Forty-four-year-old Jefferson County farmer Glen Shelton is being held without bond following his arrest for running down a woman with a tractor and killing her. Twenty-six-year-old Melonie Hughes died Saturday afternoon after Shelton pursued her some 200 yards on the tractor before running her over on U.S.-425. Sheriffs deputies say Shelton told them he went after Hughes after she shot at him with a handgun. The Prosecutors Office is working to decide what charges will be filed.
