More Power For Little Rock Mayor?

(Little Rock, AR) -- The mayor of Little Rock could wield more power in the future, instead of the mostly ceremonial role he now plays as head of government in the capital city. Under a proposal to be considered by the citys Board of Directors today, the voters would be left to actually decide the issue of whether the mayor should have veto power over board decisions and a direct say in the hiring and firing of the city attorney and city manager.
