WalMart sales associates from all over the world showed up bright and early at Bud Walton Arena to attend the 37th Annual Wal-Mart Shareholders Meeting.
Comedian Sinbad helped host the event, by adding some comic relief.
Before the meeting got underway, Chairman Rob Walton took a moment to honor his mother and first lady of walmart, the late Helen Robson Walton. She passed away this past April.
Wal-Marts Chief Financial Advisor said sales reached 345 billion dollars for the 2007 fiscal year, up 11.7 percent from the previous year.
Wal-Mart said they are also responsible for creating 1.2 million jobs in the past 10 years.
The latest American Idol winner Jordin Sparks took the stage singing her new single.
The meeting wrapped up with a performance by pop star Jennifer Lopez.
