Satirical Column Confuses Some

A column in the Democrat Gazette had some readers confused. Otus The Head Cats latest column, titled "New State Dog Fee to Put Fido on Diet," had some readers thinking Governor Mike Beebe signed a bill which would require all dog owners in Arkansas to register their dogs and pay a dollar per pound. While there is a disclaimer at the bottom of the column that says its a humorous fabrication, some readers still were concerned. We talked to the editor of Otus the Head Cat, who told us his column is full of satire.
