The Wal-Mart corporation finds itself possibly heading to court once again after a Texas attorney accuses the company of taking out life insurance policies on its employees without even telling them. Michael Myers represents a Florida man who says his wife was a former Wal-Mart employee. Years after her death he accidentally discovered his wifes former employer insured her life and collected on the policy after she died. Myers claims the company has no right to the money and is seeking damages from Wal-Mart.
Wal-Mart no longer insures its employees, but Michael Myers says plenty of other companies do....and usually without letting anyone know. Unfortunately for those who believe they may be secretly insured by employers, according to Myers theres almost no way to verify it.
