Right now, there are several deals in real estate here in northwest Arkansas. Some homes that were above the 200,000 dollar mark last year, are now being sold for thousands of dollars less.
"Sometimes the banks are encouraging builders to reduce their prices and it may be that those prices were somewhat inflated before based on the economy of 2005 versus the economy of 2007," said Larry Kelly who owns a Bentonville real estate agency.
Kelly said selling a home for ten’s of thousands of dollars lower than it was previously listed isnt a common practice. Still, a few homes in our area are going for less and timing may be an issue.
"There are some situation in our market right now where sellers do want to price it to move in 30 days. They either need to or want to,” said Kelly
