Fayetteville National Cemetery: No Trouble With Student Apartments

By: Cassidy Hodges
Updated: November 13, 2012
This week was the first public services at the Fayetteville National Cemetery since students moved into the new apartment complex, built over the summer.

Back in May, there was a lot of concern that these apartments would be a disruption to veteran ceremonies.

Memorial Day ceremonies were punctuated by construction noise at The Grove Apartments.

But after this weekend, Cemetery Officials say they've seen no disruptions.

In fact, a few students have taken short cuts through the cemetery, but as soon as groundskeepers spoke to them, the students apologized.
