Whenever temperatures drop below 39 degrees, the Salvation Army opens an emergency cold weather shelter.
When the digits hit 23 degrees, it becomes an around the clock warming center. An option that's a life saver for people in need across Northwest Arkansas.
The Salvation Army is the only overnight cold weather shelter in Northwest Arkansas, with two locations, one in Fayetteville and one in Bentonville.
During the winter when the facility opens doors for cold weather, it depletes the non-profits resources.
They're asking folks for help in many forms, blankets, canned good and monetary donations are welcome as well.
You can drop any of those off at the Salvation Army offices.
