Ozark Natural Foods wants to help low-income families become healthier and more self sufficient.
Saturday the Fayetteville Co-op grocery hosted a seedling sale.
Seedlings are young plants grown from seeds.
The seeds came from Bean Mountain Farm in Deer, Arkansas.
People could use their food stamps to buy the plants, and once a plant is full grown, it will provide a source of food.
Organizers say growing your own food is sustainable and makes you less reliant on retailers.
