Hog fans have high expectations for tonight`s game.
Razorback fans say it`s been a long time coming for the team to advance this far.
In fact the last time fans cheered on an SEC championship was over ten years ago. Some hog fans say they rely on a little ritual to help bring home a win.
Razorback alumni Jacqueline King says she never forgets to rub the bronzed hog before the big game. "He brings good luck for all these games. I`ve put a quarter in and rubbed his nose every time."
Many University of Arkansas students we spoke to say they are heading to Dickson Street to watch the big game unfold against the gators tonight. It`s not just students getting into the action, Springdale Mayor, Jerre van Hoose, says he never misses a chance to cheer on his hogs claiming to be a season ticket holder since 1970.
Sports commentators say razorback fans are some of the most devoted in the SEC.
