By:
Updated: April 17, 2007
Some of Northwest Arkansas finest gathered today to learn life saving techniques. New firefighters from nine departments learned how to save lives in real life scenarios It`s a known fact while many run out from a burning building, firefighters are running in. Twenty four training firefighters gathered in Lincoln at a training facility to learn how to battle blazes. These firefighters are in the middle of an eight week training program. They are learning hands on how to fight fires, clear smoke out and rescue victims. While many of the firefighters we spoke to say this has been a life long dream, its still dangerous. All the firefighters we spoke to today say teamwork is one of the biggest components in fighting a fire and saving lives. They say they are building relationships far deeper than friendship, more like family. Two training classes are held each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. This class will graduate on April 21.
