The tables have turned again in the race for the 24th congressional district as Dan Maffei has defeated Republican Ann Marie Buerkle in the pair's second race as opponents.

Current numbers show Maffei leading with 48% of the votes over Buerkle's 44% of the votes. Buerkle challenged Maffei back in 2010 and won. Buerkle has yet to concede. The newly-drawn 24th district includes Wayne, Onondaga, Cayuga and parts of Oswego County.
