A 911 call came in at 12:27 Monday afternoon from the Luper residence on Gann Ridge Road in Garfield.
According to investigators, two 2-year-old girls were outside with a 16-year-old babysitter.
A phone rang inside the home and the babysitter went inside to answer it.
While inside, one of the children came in and told the babysitter the other child had gotten in the pool.
Investigators say the babysitter performed CPR until parmedics arrived. The child was life-flighted to Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville where doctors prounounced her dead.
Friends and family of the child didn`t want to comment.
The child will be sent to the state crime lab for further examination. Investigators say it`s too early to say if the babysitter will face any charges.
