In just two weeks time the clinic has raised over $400 for the cause. Not bad for a business sponsoring bark for the first year ever. But the reason for their successful start is clear.
"Everybody here at the practice knows and loves somebody affected by breast cancer," says Lorrie Wolfenkoehler. "And in our case it was Bella."
Bella DeBacco is a breast cancer survivor. She's also a firm believer pets can help a patient through the toughest of times.
"When my husband brought my dog into my hospital room it put the biggest smile on my face just to see them because they are so excited to see you," explains Bella. "So when you're sick...a pet really helps you get through the struggle and the battle."
And this year Bella, her dog Sammie, and her co-workers at All Pets Animal Hospital are doing their part to help in the fight against breast cancer - together.
