Sales Tax Increase In Fayetteville

All four issues passed by well over 50 percent.
Mayor Dan Coody said, "It was good to see the high voter turnout and obviously the public was well informed."
Mayor Coody says now multiple roads will get fixed and the new sewer system will be funded without having to raise rates. Instead Fayettevilles sales tax will rise a quarter of a cent.
Here`s the breakdown; if you buy a stereo for 100 dollars, six dollars will go to the state a dollar 25 will go to the county and with the sales increase now 2 dollars will go towards Fayetteville.
The city will spend 68 million dollars widening and improving roads to help the congestion.
Coody said, "They`ve voted to enhance the Fayetteville infrastructure for generations to come."
All the road improvements will be completed by the time the bonds are paid off in 2018.
