Bentonville's city council members learned to use new iPads Thursday.

The city purchased iPads for each of the council members, but some of them are more familiar with the tablets than others. Thursday, a training session taught a few members how to access the city's website, as well as the council agendas.

"It gets pretty hefty, some of the agendas are hundreds of pages long, so this way it saves us having to provide them in the form of paper," says Dennis Hayes, the system administrator of Bentonville's IT department.

The iPads also allow instant access to the materials, and should help council members to communicate with constituents more easily.
