The Washington-Madison County Drug Court program might be able to expand.

According to the Washington County Quorum Court, they approved an application during Thursday's meeting for up to $325,000 in grant money from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

If the federal government approves the grant, the Drug Court program can use the funds to expand its treatment and supervision of people with substance abuse and mental health problems.
