Police arrested Webb early Thursday morning on several charges, including assault and animal cruelty, after they said they found him naked and covered in blood holding a woman by the throat in a bathroom at his home. There was a dog with its neck slit in the bathtub.
On Monday afternoon, Superintendent Bryan Law issued the following statement:
"At approximately 4:15 today I received the resignation of Christopher Webb as Farmington High School Principal. The Board of Education will act on this resignation tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m. during our regularly scheduled board meeting. There will be no further comment from the school district or board members regarding this matter."
