Danny K. Thomas has been found guilty in the murder of a well-known Pea Ridge business man.

Late Thursday afternoon, a Missouri jury handed down the verdict on 2nd degree murder and armed criminal action against Thomas, 61 of Stella, for the death of Darrell Bone.

The incident happened last July at a farm house in Stella that the victim was renting to Thomas. Deputies found Bone outside the home with one shot in the back and two in the face. It took jurors less than four hours to reach the verdict.

Sentencing phase is set for Friday. The defense argued from the beginning Thomas shot Bone in self defense, while the prosecution claimed the murder was out of anger that Thomas was being evicted.

Darrell Bone was a prominent businessman here in Northwest Arkansas, mainly known as co-owner of Kent Rylee Automotive Solutions in Rogers.
