Police Arrest Suspect in Fayetteville Home Invasion

On Thursday, police arrested Darreon Matthews, 22, on charges of aggravated residential burglary and engaging in violent group activity.
Police say Matthews was one of three men who broke into a home at 232 North Olive Street. When the homeowners confronted the men, police say two men were shot, one of which was a resident at the home. The other man, Roderick Cooper, was one of the suspects, and he was transported to the hospital where he later died.
Police are still looking for the third suspect and anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 479-587-3555.
